Please lurk, listen, comment, crit, insult, etc.

Notes:

- Lyrics should be on site
- Reece seems quite stellar, IMHO ... both in leading the chorus and layering-up his backing choirs.  Consider commenting on his performances.
- Danny's guitars seem spot-on magical (to my ears) ... placing you deeply inside the carnival landscape.  Please validate and/or inquire his awesome tones and techniques.
- This is a skating song (hip hop) ... expect some low end thus.
- I'm a little concerned about my verse-chorus balance ... volume-wise.  If that 'sticks-out' as a negative, please validate.

Else, utmost thanks and blessings to all!

The Band19
I like your song here Phillip, and Danny did a great job on the ax's and engineering.

I wasn't expecting that.  There's definitely some thinking outside the box on this production.  There is a lot going on, and like jamesyoyo said, it's gonna take a while for it to sink in.  Regardless, I like it a lot on first impression mainly because it is cross genre in many directions.  Way to go everyone.

The Maillard Reaction

I find the texture fascinating and the message seems delivered with a sincerity that seems remarkable.

At first I thought the tempo seemed to slow for the message but then I considered the frequency of swinging back and forth on a swing set and I started to appreciate the pacing more.

I think the fascinating texture is the most noteworthy.

It sounds so interesting that it kept my attention focused on the tune.

all the best,
mike

Very original, vocal intonation could be tighter throughout the song. Nice sparkly mix if a bit wider than I think is necessary. Overall though very well produced piece of art gentlemen.

Lots of textures and contrasts going on Philip.  This is an absolutely fascinating piece of work.  It is sooo busy, that it holds my attention all the way through from opening note to closing; just trying to catch eveything that is happening with in the song.  I actually had to listen to it several times just to absorb it all.

Also, you have certainly poured your heart and soul into this one.  This must have been a tough piece for you to work on.

I think Mike is absolutely correct on the tempo, it does have a "swinging" pace and feel to it and seems about perfect for the song.  Reese did do a stella job on leading the chorus's, they sound great.  In a way, those chorus's are kind of the glue or consistancy that pull everything together.  You have lots of effects going on with the verse vocals and at times it is a little hard to make out the message.  It helps to have the lyrics to follow in that respect.

Danny's guitars are excellent as expected.  Post production is excellent.  This has a very wide stereo feel to it which I love.

Very extravagant. Lots of stuff going on. Nice big production. I like the chorus a bunch. I think it needs a singer though.

There was absolutely too much going on in this song. It was quite annoying to listen to.
