Thanks for sharing Phillip and all the other guys.

Not my cup of tea, but I appreciate the effort.

love this one Philip, it's by far the most 'normal' song you've ever released, other than the multitude of vocals, the music itself is quite conventional. it has an awesome sense of bass and depth listening on my Sennheiser 'phones, and whilst i perhaps miss the old Philip weirdo instrumentation and unusual structure, i have to admit this is more catchy in many ways. and of course, given what has happened over the last years, to carry on recording with the kids is inspiring, to me at least.

Thanks all, Scotty, MGH, Tim, James, Bapu, Pistolpete, Mike (Makeshift), Twisted, Munmum, Mike_mccue, Lynn, The Band.

I understand this is not everyone's cuppa!  Target audiences are specifically urban tweens, skaters, and/or persecuted Christians.

Regarding the need for a "singer" (Tim) ... I seriously invite you (Tim) to lead the verses!  Else ... someone may want to elaborate/clarify ... as my verse vocs seem pretty 'soulful', 'true', and excellent to my ears, IMHO ... and, all singers here are veteran singers.  Joy has sung about 30 songs and sings regularly at church ... few child-singers I've tested can approximate her.

And, who could sing this chorus better than Reece?  Tim?  Julianna?  Twisted?  Yoyo?  Danny?  Respectfully, Reece's child-like innocence, compassion, and aspiring professionalism seemed absolutely perfect here.   (Any thoughts anyone?)

... to 'swing' (serve) with the rhythm-dominance (bass drums and bass guitar) ... and 'meekly' draw attention to peculiar soul-troubles going on in the psalmist (Ps 35).

Albeit, I agree the middle cries could have used an Alice-Cooper ...

Again ... the Ps 35 verse-vocs were to draw attention if the listener himself or herself were the persecuted-paranoid Christian sort ... as King David seemed ... when he fled from his enemies (Saul, King Achish, Absolom, etc.).

I think Danny may have chosen to widen things a bit (post-production) ... for hip-hop-pop's sake and/or the skate floor.  I haven't tested this at the skating rink yet.

Anyway, utmost thanks and blessings all!

Hi Philip, that's quite a production, very imaginative.  Great to hear something this original and so well executed, kudos to all involved.

Sorry Philip, I haven't got round to listening, my life is a bit busy at the moment.

Ok you have put together your own sound, I can't get enough of your pitchshifted voices.

It has a real lilting melencholy, which I love.

What I love about your tunes is though there is a Christian message, I can never hear it.  All I hear is beautiful production and this happiness in what you sing.

Now the problem is the mix it is a little busy, I think it could be fixed though in mastering.

The mids are a little high and piercing, so just watch that.  Also as I have been suggesting to quite a few today watch those low-mids, just bump a little off and it will help clear the mud, so the mix then wont sound so busy.

But a great tune Philip and I would actully buy your record.

Peace Ben

I'll make it a concensus, it's got a lot of interesting things going and is some what compelling.  I hear some vocal things that really catch my interest. Strange but cool..

Who are these "skaters" you so frequently refer to?

Loved it Philip. I wouldn't change a thing. You really do have your own style like someone else has said. You have a way of putting the message to the beatz.

This song might have problems, but I had trouble focusing on that because I was so thoroughly enjoying the laid back dance groove with so many awesome surfaces. Very neo-orchestral. Freakin' awesome. I love it when I know I'm going to love a song from the first bar...

seriously dude. Love the lounge music. And by lounge I mean, I could hear it in a coffee shop, not the definition the world gives lounge music.
