Ok, let's face it? When it comes to the mixing, I kind of suck at it, I understand this, and admit it. But I'm trying to get better? I had some comments from another forum that the drums were burried? And I know some people were complaining about the snare here. So, I put some more lipstick on that pig? The snare now I think is where it needs to be... Also, the drums "overall" came up a bit.
Then I got to listening and said, "I can't hear the mandolin..." You still can't really hear it? But it's in the mix a bit better. Then the vox and the EQ, then I was looking at the .wav? and playing with the limitter on the mains, and on the drums, pushed the kick, changed the mband EQ on the mains, changed envelopes, basically "everything" changed, some subtly, some dramatically. I think it's better. I wouldn't blame people for either not listening to "remix 8?" or not noticing the difference?
I understand. But I'm really trying to be less of a dufface when it comes to the darn mix. I don't think I've had a mix 8 on any song before? And I'm hoping there's no "number 9" (as the Beatles would say...)
Submitted for your approval, hopefully I'm learning to do this stuff better?
