The Grand Canyon is truly awe inspiring. And Sedona is also beautiful.

If you make it to New.Orleans, go see the D-Day museum.

He recommended Cowtown Guitars instead (I'd heard about that one too from someone on this forum IIRC).

I still need to get to this store. Maybe next trip.

FYI...We have a connection with the mentioned Gold & Silver Pawn Shop (Pawn Stars) to Jesse Amoroso owner of Cowtown Guitars, who is the call-in expert for Pawn Stars when a valuable fretted instrument is being offered to the pawn dealers. He appears to know his stuff. Those are some of the best shows.

Thanks for the ideas! We are about to leave and catch the plane. I don't plan on staying in Vegas at all. We will get there tonight, grap the rental car and head towards Yosemite. The National parks are a must see and then maybe (if we have time) a short drive along the coast. It should be great. Last night I got it started off right...I saw Tom Petty and Steve Winwood!

I lived in Vegas for more than 20 years and I'd rather go to Yosemite/National Parks meself......the one good thing is you'll have and be spending your money more wisely.

Have a safe flight Clint and enjoy your vacation!!

Vacation is over...and it was awesome! Monday night flew into Vegas and drove to Barstow,CA. Tuesday we went to Sequoia National park, Wednesday Yosemite and Thursday Kings Canyon. Then we drove back to Barstow. This morning we drove back to Vegas, took a few pics and flew back to Arkansas. We got home about a hour ago (10:30pm). The parks may have been the best I've ever been to...simply amazing. I've been all over Colorado and Alaska, but this was truly spectacular.
