And yes, this is sound related.  I have a rush job so I used element to animate a  3D talking skull in element.  I got the skull to react to keyframnes generated by sound, but both halves of skull are moving and i want only jaw to move.  The top of skull moving is totally causing demonic eyes to get off track.  I am sure I could track the eys to match, was wondering if anyone knew of a simple way to keep skull still.  I know it's a longshot asking here but you never know and i was already here.  I will still lkikjely go to VCP forums and ask,

Hey Dubdisciple - I use Element 3D, but haven't got a great deal of experience with it. One thing that comes to mind though is to possibly put the 2 halves of the skull in different groups? You could then probably use the respective group nulls to position the 2 together and then animate the group null that's associated with the jaw?

BTW - E3D 2 features were just revealed. Some awesome stuff (reflection, shadows etc). Also though, auxiliary animation; lets you animate different parts of your model. So, would probably have been perfect for your project. Trouble is: won't be out until November....

I am so stoked about element 2. Finally shadows! Resolved my issue with a workaround. I had my skull split in two groups. I think I just parented wrong parameter to my null. The displace seems to move both halves even if in seperate groups.

Glad to hear you found a solution :-) Can't wait for V2 either! The possibilities, the possibilities...
