This is a very professional sounding production and performance.  The vocalist is terrific, and the arrangement are well thought out.  The song itself could be on the radio right now, and I'm sure it would be very popular.  The only thing that stood out to me is so minor, but I had to turn it up to hear it clearly.  But, that's better than having to turn it down and shows a good use of dynamics.  Way cool.

Thanks Lynn,

I gave up the "loudness wars" and have changed my philosophy on mixing and mastering.  For the last two songs and going forward, I employ the K system of measurement/metering.  I master to K-14 for uniformity and dynamic range.  My tracks may need to be turned up a bit in comparison but, I feel, will wear better on the listener's ear.

I appreciate your fine comments and thank you for listening.

Great song. I would much rather have to turn it up slightly to get a better quality. Good choice.

Thanks Pistol.  I never was a big believer in "brick wall mastering" anyway.

Hey, mate.  Not my sort of music but thats just my subjective opinion.  What I will say though is wow nice pro sounding track and def could be played on radio as some have already mentioned.

Your also very lucky dead beat Pete gave you a compliment, very rare indeed.

Nice job

Peace Ben

Tim - Thanks man.  Didn't know you listened to the other stuff too...appreciated.

Whack - I generally list under AC or jazz.  I have a really hard time defining what I do and solicit a lot of opinions from here.

For percussion I have a real drummer w/an ekit, Maschine, Superior Drummer, Stylus RMX, BFD, Motu Ethno2, etc.  It depends on the mood of the song.

My next tune (due in a few weeks) is nothing but Maschine and Ethno2 for perc.

Cheers,

RKS
