NI have been having their 50% sale around the end of the year for the past 2 year. If my memory is correct it has to to with thanksgiving/black Friday sale. Now, when is thanksgiving? (I am not an American, hope you can forgive me for not knowing the date.)

This year, Thanksgiving is on November 27th.  Black Friday sales happen on the day after (on Nov. 28th).

Typically, Komplete and Komplete Upgrades are not included in the 50% off Holiday sales.  NI also typically excludes any very recently released products.  At least that has been the case in the past.

I looked through all the included components of K10, and I think I will take a pass on it for the moment.

I currently use Komplete 8 Ultimate, and the biggest components in it didn't change between 8 and 10 (Kontakt, FM8, Reaktor, Massive, Absynth, Guitar Rig), and Battery 3 still does the job quite nicely for me, and 8 Ultimate came with a bunch of extra effects and tons of sounds as well, and other instruments that are also duplicated in 10.

THANKS though, for posting this.  I did go through it all in detail, and for my particular situation, I think I am all set, but for others - I would absolutely recommend looking at getting this deal, or even upgrading for the $399 to 10 Ultimate.  I have been VERY happy with all the goodies I got with 8 U.

K10 Ultimate looks like a great package. I got K9 Ultimate a few months ago and love it. The FX in Ultimate are much better than I thought the would be but I didn't know some are by Softube. And Abbey Road 50's Is maybe the best of the series and one of my favorite drum packs overall. If the new pianos are that good then that puts it uo a few more notches.

It's at the end of November, on the 27th this year to be precise (the date changes year to year because it always happens on Thursday).
