What if we, hypothetically speaking, don't actually know who we are? I mean, suppose I...I mean, uh...I had a...a friend who wasn't convinced his parents weren't kidding when they told him his name? How would I, I mean he know? And what if this hypothetical and completely anonymous person was not completely sure that everyone else on the planet wasn't in on the joke? Oh, and add to that the idea that this guy, whomever he might be, had a pretty good idea that all of the people he knows aren't actually human, and that they are studying him for their own nefarious purposes? How would he know then? If he says he knows, how do you know that he knows? Does he know that you know that he knows, or is he ignorant of what he knows? Or is he only pretending to be ignorant while all the while he is fully aware of the fact that he knows that you know that he knows that you think you know, but in fact you don't really know that he's wearing someone else's skin and pretending to be human, just like you? (Or is he?)
Hypothetically speaking, of course.
