Gotta love some "Easy Living"!

You know it, brother. The first one I played was Circle Of Hands. Love that riff!

Hi, I've installed the 64 bit dll, and having crashing issues when inserting VB3 as a plug.  I can get it play with a couple of the preset organs (along with nasty noise in the background), but others presets are just noise.  I'm using X3e and the project is 96/24.  I have had no issues on previous projects using the 32-bit dll.  Anyone out there experienced similar issue?

Kind of an old school attempt to fix things but try re-booting. I have had some vstis not work well at all until I re-booted and for whatever reason that straightened things out. The noise you are complaining about could be sample rate problems. It may not work well at 96/24. That's where I would start anyway.

thanks for your reply.  I've rebooted several times, but didn't fix.  You may be right about 96/24.  Looking through my projects, I see no other I've done at 96/24 with VB3.  It certainly isn't playing nice.

Yeah, the 64bit version does not work with 96/24. Same problem I had. The 32bit version works just fine, however.

Thanks, dcumpian! Do you know if there is any intent to get the 64 bit VB3 to work at higher bit rates? Personally, I am still keeping it down in the 44 and 48 ranges.
The only problem I have had was the 64 bit installation went well but I could not get the 32 bit installation to register until I figured out I had to cut off the firewall. Then it went right in. Kinda strange!

Mine works fine on 44k and 48k as well. Now I have to try a 96k project to see if I have the same problem. Thanks for the heads up.

I did contact the vendor, but he said not to use 96/24. Not sure that means anything, but I don't see the current version of VB3 (1.4) ever getting fixed. I believe he is working on version 2.0 at the moment.

In any case, the 32bit build of version 1.4 works with 96/24 and sounds great, so I'll stick with that for now.

Dan

Thanks all.  I concur with Dan.  64-bit VB3 does not work with X3e 96/24.  I reverted to the 32-bit dll and it plays fine on 96/24 projects. :)
