  • Is the MAutoDynamicEq and the Tonebooster TB Fix kind of similar?

I already own the TB Fix dynamic processor and I and considering the Melda MAutoDynamicEq vst.  Are these two similar?  I don't need to have the ability to auto match EQ from a wave file to what I am working on.  I do like the idea of controlling separate bands with dynamics and EQ in the same module.
Here are the links:

TB Fix

If you own both, it would be helpful to get your feedback.

Thanks.

Similar only to the extent that they both employ filters. What they do and what you'd use them for is quite different. If you're concerned about functional overlap, don't be.

Thanks Larry and Bit.  I am remastering some old tapes and have been using TB Fix primarily.  I think I will purchase MAutoDynamic when it is discounted again.

For something more like TB Fix, but on steroids, check out MSpectralDynamics when it goes on sale. I did a recent review/tutorial on it:

I also reviewed MAutoDynamicEQ in the July issue:

Both are everyday go-to lifesavers here at Camp Bit.

Hey, I noticed the meter under my avatar has been replaced by "bitflipper" in binary-coded ASCII! How cool is that?

I'm not seeing your whole name there ... maybe they should've used hex.

But congratulations on your position as Host.  A fine choice indeed.

Cheers,
Eddie

Yeh, maybe I should ask them to truncate it to just "011000100110100101110100". Much easier to type, and there's no need to be so formal.
