No I haven't tried micing it yet...I just got it yesterday...what you heard was just a quick plug in and hit the record button. No other prep, no room conditioning, no noise...just guitar...no eq no effects, no compression...

That's not bad at all.  I would probably experiment some with a combination of mic'ing and direct; then blending them as Sharke suggested.  I know on my solid rosewood Larrivee, I love capturing the sound of that real wood as well.

I have a MXL V-69 ME Tube Mice, but I don't want to use it because it picks up all kinds of room and environment noise. I like the idea of just plugging in and recording...simple. The Lyric works perfect for me. The basic sound of it gives me something nice I can work with in mixing...I like it...

Well I tried micing the D-35 with the MXL V69 ME Tube mic on one channel and the Lyric on the other. Then I added some of Pro Channel's EQ, and Concrete Limiter and ended up with a fantastic sounding recording...for some reason room noise wasn't a problem tonight.

Very cool, Wayne. That's a lovely pair of ladies there, and I bet they can really sing.
