I am considering buying this EQ , i have tried it a bit, and i really like the sound
EDIT : (not quite as good as the UAD neve 1073 ) but then again i don't want any hardware card, to expensive for me atm

3 band's may come short as a basic go to EQ for everything !
i am also unsure about waves in general.

I mostly like plugins as, ddl files and 1 time register / serial code ;-)

How do it work when i buy a plugin from them, when i activate it
and later on, may re install my Windows, and install the plugin again
do i need to be online for that ?  any other things i need to know if i buy waves product's !

Considering the EQ, what other EQ's with exact / " similar " sound could i get if i want a few more bands
is there other brands that would be an option !

This uses Waves cloud not a serial code. No problems for myself, others don't like it.
There's also the IK Neve which I use more than the Scheps although the m/s feature is nice.
Slate is releasing his new VMR soon ( I think) which will also featue a Neve model.

Carl is right about the Waves Cloud System.  It is painless.  If you want to redo
your PC, you just send your licenses to the cloud.  Once your done, reinstall
and bring you licenses back.  I like it far better the iLok.  And best of all
there's no transfer fee.  If you decide to sell, just send your license to the Cloud
and tell Matt @ Waves who the new owner is.

I have the IK 73 and it does add some character.

You can find the Schepps by Waves on KVR for around $80 pretty regularly...

seems like you guy's prefer the IK multimedia version before waves one
any reason for that ?

* Carl, i know about the Slate digital VMR, and will check it as a demo, later on if they will have one !
2 eq's and 2 compressors , seems nice, but how it will sound, remain's yet to hear.

maybe i should wait for it, I have iLOK 2 ...
and the VCC

I don't have a preference...

I like the Waves Licensing scheme FAR better then IK's $19 transfer fee...
Also, the Waves seem to have better resale value overall...from my experience.

But they are both decent 73 emus....

While I prefer the IK 73's sound to the Scheps on most sources, if you're concerned about resale, last I checked, the IK single plugins bought via the Custom Shop weren't transferable at all.  So make sure you like it before buying.

That said, I think I'd wait for the VMR before jumping on either of these, assuming you don't mind the iLok.

Cheers,
Eddie

I really like my new Scheps from WAVES. Very colorful. Preferred over my UAD 1073.

I don't see any problem with quadcurve myself.

I'm with Alex on this. The Quadcurve does a real good job. And it has the analyzer with it now.
