Been waiting for this to go on sale. $2.99 was more than I could swing, but $1.99, OK! ;)
But what's up with that installer? You have to download and install it, and then all it does is download and unpack a rar. I couldn't tell when it was finished. There was a button that read "Pause", as if something was still happening, but the progress bars sat there at 0%. After awhile I gave up waiting for some kind of "I'm Done" announcement and just copied the files to my sample disk.
I'm impressed that they were able to make 10 separate instruments out of just 24 samples. It's because most of the instruments consist of a single sample stretched across the entire keyboard, which actually sounds better than you'd think.
These are all warped piano sounds, including a "natural" piano - if you've ever wanted a single-velocity piano that takes very little memory this would fill the need. There's a reverse piano in there that's pretty cool. It may be the only patch I actually find a use for, but you never know.
