Hello

Just seen that there are some great prices on mastering plugins over at http://www.pluginboutique.com.
I already got Waves L3..

Slate Digital FG-X Mastering Comp vs PSP Audioware? Which one and why? Or maybe none? Or other?
Tips please!

Mainly into electronic music (kick and bass;)

Thanks

I use FG-X for all Hard Rock or Metal music. It's stellar for that.

Lately I've been getting into the HOFA plugs and getting great results.  They're about to release a new limiter, which may be worth waiting for given the quality of their other stuff.

Another good choice, particularly for rock and other punchy styles, is the AOM Invisible Limiter.  Both this and the HOFA are designed to be very easy to use, which is a plus in my book.

Cheers,
Eddie

I don't have the other two you mention but I have the FG-X and I like it on the material I am doing.  I don't use it on everything but if I need to have a loud mix for that sort of genre, I find it's easy to work and make sound good.

How many limiters does one person need? It's not as though a limiter has to be a Swiss Army Knife with many functions and features. It has one well-defined purpose, and as long as it does that one thing well it should work for any genre.

That said, I have to admit that I use two different limiters for different types of projects. But it's really just a convenience and I could make do with either one of them if I had to.
