my 10 year old NT1-A was dropped( I think-no-one will admit it!)and failed so I sent it to Rode for repair.
not only did they repair it free, under warranty, even though I had not registered it or had proof of purchase but they replaced the whole capsule and turned it around in 5 days with free return shipping.
that`s what I call service.
glad to have it back as it is my go to for female vocals.
cheers

Good to hear. I wonder, though, if that level of service would be available to anyone outside of Australia.

My NT-1A's taken a few tumbles, including one six-foot fall when a mic stand tipped over. Fortunately, it's still intact and nothing's rattling inside.

Hi Bit-they offer a 10 year unconditional warranty so shipping would be the only problem.
I got the impression its still a relatively small "family" business and they actually care about their products and customers so I reckon you would be well treated.

Peter Freedman is a gentleman, and his company reflects that attitude. Love my Rode still too. NT2 15 years and still going strong.

Good to know.  I don't plan on dropping mine.... but then again..... no one ever does.

After my stand mishap I seriously considered getting one of those big, heavy stands like you see in large studios and movie sets, the ones with wheels on them. A quick measurement of the dimensions of my little vocal booth quashed that idea.

I'm just really careful now. Although I did drop a mic just this week - it rolled off a keyboard where I'd set it temporarily while swapping mics. Fortunately it was a 58, so no harm done. But I've added that to the list of things not to do.
