I'm not saying it's bad looking, but have you used ProQ ever? The workflow makes the idea of a fixed number of bands and a large number of buttons entirely obsolete. The new spectrum grab goes even further than that. It already sounded good and clean, any sound improvement (unless it adds "character") is going to be small and the UI definitely is behind the times compared to FF. Not looks wise but workflow wise.

IN fact , ProQ can be too visual my friends ....(you foind yourself chaisng resonance visually instead of just hearing if eq is really needed or not !)....i still use 90 % of the time my good old SSL Duende CS ....so it's just a question of choice , don't get me wrong Pro Q (and V2 even more) is one of the best EQ around , But for sure , AIR EQ is easy in the top 3 !! the analyser is just beauty full and the sound is just HIGH top QUALITY !!  i'm wiating for the final candidate to evaluate latency , cpu hit , ect ...and do a A/B with vst analyser versus other counteders proq , equilibrium ect ..

I'm not even trying to compare it....I love the Fabfilter interfaces...
I was just stating that the Air EQ doesn't seem "antiquated".
I think it has a nice interface...but it's not Pro-Q...

Well all I'm saying is I couldn't go back to a knobby interface after using FF :)
To each his own.

Well you should use the word "i think" , not be that categoric .... like you well  said to each his own !!
Some including me have learned with years that "limitations" are the key , in music (tools ect ..) and even in life !! ;)

back to that beauty full eq , is it replacing the dll or you can have both versions ?

I like having all the eq knobs available for overall quicker adjustments & ease of use.
That's one reason why I prefer Equilibrium (along with using Equick's w/o knobs & small interface for general purpose presets)

I like some of the new features on V2 though.
They're both excellent eq's, can't go wrong with either choice
