I thought it would go without saying that this is all my opinion, this is an internet forum after all :)
 
You can use both versions simultaneously, it's a completely separate plug, although Q2 will read Q1 presets/saves made through the internal preset menu.

Anyway nice time for ITB guyz like us !!  i also do find that prices are getter lower while quality up , all good !

I like having all the eq knobs available for overall quicker adjustments & ease of use.
That's one reason why I prefer Equilibrium (along with using Equick's w/o knobs & small interface for general purpose presets)
 
I like some of the new features on V2 though.
They're both excellent eq's, can't go wrong with either choice

I actually applied for employment working on the EQ knobs? It was advertised as "a knob job..." Unfortunately, it didn't suck as much as I'd hoped. (I'm sorry for that right there Lord, and please be with the Pygmies in New Guinea) 

So how is everyone liking Pro Q2? I like it a lot. The only thing I find a bit annoying is the controls block a good portion of the analyzer window. Other than that it's great.

It's fantastic.  Everyone should at least demo this thing, if only to see the current state of the art in GUI design.  As close to being a perfect plugin as anything I've ever tried.
 
FabFilter has set a very high standard here.  Congrats to Frederik and Floris for their outstanding achievement!

I love the Fabs! I'm over budget on guitar gear at the moment, but I'll demo it when I have some funds. I'm also really impressed with Vladg Sounds new Nova-67P. A great new free EQ for the poor!
