I like colorful skis which are easier to spot during a yard sale...

You're killing me Rocky.
Man, I miss Colorado. and I miss my Hart 210 slaloms. and the basin at the top of #2 at Loveland. And midweek skiing at A Basin, Keystone, and Breckenridge when there were 4 other people on the mountain.
I never cared much for bumps, and the 210's sucked for that, but give me a nice open run, get up to speed, and they cut so sweet.
I have no recommendations and defer to Bat.

Those are some long boards. I'm about 45 minutes from Loveland and not much further to the others. I'll probably get a Copper pass this year. You'd be blown away at the walk-up rates and weekend traffic these days.

Gonzo, I think I'll narrow things down a bit and demo this year as suggested. Thanks for all of the help.

We've been having a cool wet summer, if this trend keeps up we're gonna have an epic winter.

last year we ended up with 432" at Alta (my favorite), well below the norm of 500"

but, it was mostly 4-6% on top, we had a lot of lake effect from the great salt lake

it's been the same here, cool and wet....... but i don't know if that translates into steady flow during the winter.

i'll be hitting the ski swaps here in october,
i'm currently on some Salomon 1080 guns, and at 96 under foot, they are still too small.
LOL

guys around here, ski on double rocker twin tips at about 115 under foot, and still cut up the groomers and crud on them.
\
i think 'all mountain  skis' are now considered anything from 79 to 99 under foot.....

PM me if you'd be interested in meeting him, he used to ski Loveland a lot.....
and likes a basin as well......
he's a carpenter in the area.

I love midweek skiing...... and hate weekends.

Here in NC we have limited places to ski so everybody and their brother, sister, cousin, aunt, uncle, and extended family all want to hit the same slope at the same time.....weekend afternoons are the worst.

Here in CO we have numerous world class ski resorts but most of them are accessed via I-70 which becomes a nightmare on weekends. If I could be flexible and ski week days I would. Copper mountain has (or had) a powder pass for $100. If they get 4" or more the night before you can use the powder pass. It's an insane good if you have a flexible schedule.

i learned how to ski at Appalachian, then would always ski at Hawksnest.
sometimes Beech, sometimes Sugar.
i thought that was just the greatest thing in the world...

until i moved to salt lake.

Greatest snow on earth.
