How did facebook know?  did someone turn you in?

You get banned for calling someone stupid. I've reported pages that advocated the assassination of a political leader and the systematic rape of women only to be told that my request had been evaluated but FB considered that there was nothing wrong with those pages.

Yep someone complained that I called someone as dumb as a box of rocks and that was enough to warrant a ban. But yes, there are pages which propagate racism and sexually explicit stuff which are considered to be protected free speech by Facebook. Hey I'm into free speech too - so let me call people as dumb as rocks as and when I see fit! If someone called me dumb (which happens, hard to believe I know....) I just can't imagine being so upset that I complained to a higher authority.

I banned facebook and Twitter and whateerelsemaybeoutthere from me forever. I have no use for such stupid things.

A box of rocks ain't as dumb as you think. Left to their own devices they know enough to just be still and keep quiet. That's more than most can say.
