I have not tried the free version yet.  I'm assuming it is one of the pianos included in full version.  I find most of the pianos in ST3 range from decent to damn good.  The grand piano is growing on me even though i don't like the load time. Most won't go toe to toe with the absolute top of the line dedicated piano plugins for solo use but they do work better in mix right out the box  than most of the pianos I have used.

Thanks Obi, I'm sure I will.
Have tech put a mention in the release notes that there is no need to install the older versions.
Typically the latest version is just that, the latest version; not a patch (read that band-aid).
