I completely understand and wholeheartedly request that you continue to do so as I'm sure you have far better things to do anyway although I can't for the life of me think on any level what those things might actually be.
 

Nice try, but it takes much more than that to convince Beagle to chase someone else once he picks up the scent of becan. You can run, but he will track you down. The "Look Over There" strategy doesn't buy you much time. 
 
I'll be blunt. Your only chance is to drop the becan and run. Even now, it may be too late. I don't think you'll reach Minimum Safe Distance by the time he pounces. I can't just stand here and let you go down like a wounded gazelle stalked by a pride of lions. Ok. Give me your becan and start running. I'll lead him away.

While Beagle is chasing you (via Bubba's distraction techniques), I've already got a pickup truck parked in the back. It's ready to haul that big bag of becan (yeah, that big bag for his broken keyboard/organ or sumpin).
