I tried to add all my Kontakt 4 library content into K5, but was getting a "No Library Found" message. All of my 3rd party Kontakt 4 libraries are in one folder (with subfolders for each library). I know that all K4 will work in K5, but can't add those libraries (even when directing it to a specific library folder..... i.e. StrumMaker IV from Indiginus)

BTW, I was doing this in the standalone mode and per the service center, K5 is all updated)

Any thoughts on this?

I believe that you have to open the individual instrument files...it won't see
the K4's as a Library...

Every library I've ever installed that uses NI's "Service" Center has been a PIA. You basically have to close Kontakt and re-open it after each step. Click "Add Library", close and re-open. Authorize, close and re-open. Repeat for every library.

As you're cursing NI, just remember that your aggravation is for their benefit. It's all about making piracy less convenient, even if it means slapping their paying customers around in the process.

To even open the individual instrument files, I'd have to see it listed within K5 (on the left side where all the various instuments are located i.e. The Giant, Scarbee J-Bass etc...) right??
Of note, I don't see any of my K4 instruments except Steven Slate Drums EX and Infinite Player.

Dave, all my KOMPLETE 9 items are already authorized and updated.

Can you browse to where the k4 library is and see the *.nki files?  tried opening one and see if it will play?

Not really sure what you mean by "see it listed" as you will have to add it for the library to be seen.

Regarding the "see it listed" part.......yes, that's the problem as I can't add it to the library for it to be seen (I was replying to Larry's suggestion and giving an example of what I could see).

I'll try (tonight) to browse the K4 *.nki file and see if it will load.
Me thinks it really shouldn't be this complex in order to just add an older library into K5.....

Mesh, no, they would not be listed under libraries but under the "Files" tab...

There you would navigate to your Kontakt 4 library locations and open the individual files..

Oh ok, thanks.......I'll take a look at this tonight.

Well, I was able to open the individual instruments via the Files tab, but still can't get it to show under the Library tab. I even moved my Kontakt 4 library folder into my Komplete 9>Kontakt5 folder, but it still doesn't show up. Even when I point the Browser (when searching for an instrument library) at the exact location of the library, it states "No LibraryFound".

Is there an actual reason/solution for this or is this the normal way it's designed to be? Seems very counter-productive......(it's so much easier to use when I see only the .nki (instrument) files under the Library Tab and not have to see every single folder via the Files tab).

Kontakt 5 uses a different library format then Kontakt 4...
Hence the reason that the 4 Libraries don't show up...

I've looked through the "import" options and do not see a way to
convert or import them, hence my previous post about "individual
instrument" files...
