So I finish my album with 15 songs. I made 50 copies and it is hard to get rid of them. 1st of the album is mostly in spanish. 2nd I tried giving it out in public, people just don't want to be bother. 3rd I'm shy giving it out to people which prevents me by giving it out to group of people.

I don't know. I've offered my tunes as free downloads to all and sundry, but as far as I can tell, only about 4 people actually bothered.

Do you perform live? That's the best venue for selling CDs. I've seen mediocre street musicians and Peruvian flute bands selling gobs of CDs at ten bucks a pop. Maybe it's because people enjoyed the live experience and hoped to take it home with them, or maybe they just wanted to show some support.

If you don't perform live, or if your music is a type that isn't easily performed live, you might consider putting together a live show anyway. Team up with somebody who isn't so shy. Venues can always be found regardless of genre or style, even if it means playing for free in a bookstore or a coffee house. (Both of which are good places for reaching well-heeled, pretentious patrons who'll think nothing of parting with ten bucks - after all, they just paid 5 for their coffee.)

As one of the other three--I like it, too.

Oh now...it's not that hard. Here's one that a kid could build.

Now that's just mean (taken in the context of the OP).

As for the OP, I would suggest making them available from your band page and/or checking out sites like Amazon or CD Baby, etc.  I've found that sometimes you can sell things easier than you can give them away (there's a perceived value when they buy it).  Even playing live you should sell them - just make it at a no-brainer price ($2 to $5, not $10 or more for example).  You'll get people "in the moment" that way and, if they like it, they'll tell their friends.

It wasn't mean. It was a helpful idea as the OP marked.

I can also build it if that helps...(for a small fee )..maybe there are those that can back up their ideas and sell those CD's for him for a percentage rather than just talk about how it's done.
