I'm gonna watch Popeye tonight. Even in bad movies, he was still entertaining.
 
He was the same age as me. I don't know why that makes it sadder, but it does.

I thought last night about T.S Garp.
 
He was not the character I imagined when I read World According to Garp, but now I could not ever imagine another in that role.

Whether he was serious or zany, he always seemed to be running circles around everyone else. His mind ran at a different clock speed from most of us. For years, I thought there was a sweet sadness in his characters that the laughter couldn't completely cover. I'm so very sorry to hear about his suicide. Tragic.

He achieved his own pinnacle place in both acting and comedy. Here Charlie Rose tries to interview him...it's great and remembering how fun he was, is the best option.

I am from Malaysia growing up watching mork and mindy. Such a cute tv series. I am sadden by the passing of such a talented actor.

This one really hit me hard. Not since the passing of Hunter Thompson have I felt so bad about the passing of a man I never met. Too young, just too young.

I can think of two others that were shockers:  Brad Delp and Junior Seau.
