I got ST in a package deal that was offered along with other IK products I wanted. Would I have bought ST alone. No.

But when I got it in that package deal, they gave me everything. I mean everything!! I got it for a steal.

I bit because for $99, it's a good buy for me. Plain and simple. I am also looking forward to the new UI. That old one is.....bad.

Larry you look at their "icrap stuff" with disdain. I look at it as good for IK. They can make a ton of money off of it. And still develop the products I want and sell it to me at a fantastic price. The way I look at it is us PC customers are in a win/win situation.

And dub I am with you. ST3 is going to serve my needs very well.

dialogue about this, that would be obvious...

AGAIN boys..the problem wasn't that they went after the iCrap market, nor do I look upon it with disdain Grem...
what I look upon with EXTREME DISDAIN is that they promised ST 3...years ago...and then, when the iCrap
frenzy came, they went mute about it, put it on the back burner, for YEARS, in FAVOR of the iCrap market,
let those of who paid thousands sit and wait with our thumbs up our bahookis, continued to promise it,
we continued to wait, they didn't deliver, they continued to promise it, we waited, then they announced last year,
FOR SURE, by the end of the year, that came and went (Guitarpima made out like a bandit!) then said, March,
then the middle of the year, then FINALLY announced a date....


10 years boys...10 years for an upgrade....almost 5 years since the last POINT update...

THAT IS BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BUSINESS....plain and simple...

Yep Grem...ya did good to buy the TS3 Bundle...at the bargain basement price...so why not wait for the
BBP on this too and make out like a bandit again?  I certainly will! It will most likely be on sale before
X-mas...

Actually, it seems like a home run from what we're seeing here but I understand that even a post that contains zero "snark" or similar "tone" of which we've been accused of in the past would be met with multiple snarky replies anyway.  Larry, I'm glad that you have decided that SampleTank 3 is not for you at this juncture, not because I would not want you to have and enjoy a product we make (as you do give compliments where you feel due about our products - edit, and you continue to post links to great deals on our products, both of which show a great deal about your good character which I fully respect) but because I wouldn't want to see you disappointed any more than you already are with the time it has taken etc.  I do wish you success and hope that going forward our success doesn't give you such grief as it appears to do right.  Let's hope time will heal wounds and we can all move on.

Alas, it doesn't change the fact that your company screwed the vast majority of us who 
spent hundreds, if not thousands, more....

PS...in regards to the "wounds" IK...unless you plan on giving a 
$2,000.00 refund or free copy of ST 3...I don't think that one's going
to heal...just to be clear....

I've been pre-ordered since early on. While I can't play keyboards better than your average monkey, I am excited to drag my guitar parts to a midi track and see what happens... :)

I'm actually looking forward to getting to play with it this weekend. May even sequester myself in studio.

And although it sucks that ot was delayed, I'm of the school of thought thay I would rather it be right than quick if I have to choose. I suspect if they released it earlier it would have been a far less significant upgrade.

Sometimes I think software companies can't win. If they release an upgarde annually theuvare accused of "milking customers for money for features that should have been in the last one". Fore it always comes down to did I get what I paid for. Most obvioisly felt they got what they paid for enough to even expand on that product. Not one person bought 2 or 2.5 with the expectation that 3 would be free.
