FWIW, I think you IK guys have really stepped it up with regards to representing yourselves and offering good customer service.

I may be have had some fun with this but I sincerely think you deserve some credit for rising to the occasion.

Kudos!!!

Thanks, guys.  Obviously we're not too happy about a totally unexpected hitch like this, and the fact that it was an early release of a product with such specific anticipation today (had it been shot early yesterday, it would have been questioned more I think) was just icing on the cake of irony.  Well, that might be taking liberty with the word irony or using it in the Alanis Morrisette way (meaning completely wrong) but you get the idea.

I believe I posted on KVR that my flabbergasted reaction had me spit out the phrase "f**k a duck" when I first heard of this at like 1AM this morning.

There are certain phrases that you just don't want to know the origins of and the duck one is one of them ;)

I'm on a lake right now, so perhaps I should have thought more carefully about my particular turn of phrase but it was spur of the moment.  Plus, you are 100% correct, I'd rather not know the origin of said phrase.

Hey dub,

If you get a moment from the action can you give us a highlight on your thoughts about ST3. Still waiting for boxed version because I know I would have been days downloading here.

Thanks,
Rick

Gladly.  Despite having made the plunge, I am still curious if product delivers.  I will post initial impressions and then will take weekend to dive in

I'm planning on having my son put it through a pop music test as well.  I don't do much hip-hop, but my son does and he has made some very good stuff with ST2.5 and I am sure whatever he makes in that category will be more accurate to what contemporary people of the genre would look for than the examples IK posted.  I just have to get him to do it in Sonar since he is so used to working in FL studio.

It's common for companies to sell aging software on the cheap.  Nothing wrong with that.  I once bought an old version of Cinema 4D for fifty bucks.  Originally it was a couple grand or so.  Yesterday I bought a bundle of seven video games on Steam for fifteen bucks.  Originally it would have cost several hundred.
