I've mentioned it in the past, I've had a thing for those Gibson RD guitars ever since I first saw one. Seems that Gibson is making a limited run of them on 2014, and, thanks to zZounds newsletters, I had to be exposed to it...
 
Then I noticed that tailpiece - first time I see one like this. TP-6. Anyone knows what's the purpose and how they work?

It's still in the Imperial colour code - it's the stormtrooper colour scheme. :P

See?  White is one of the acceptable colors. 
 

 
(That tail piece looks like a trem tailpiece except they forgot to add the bar!)

The TP-6 is a tailpiece with micro tuners built in. There are little cams that move back and forth when you turn the small adjuster wheel for each string. Sort of like the micro tuners on a Floyd or Kahler.

It's basically just a stop tailpiece with fine tuners on it. I believe the BB King Lucille model has it also.
