Been up working since 4:30am James.  "Seeded" my brain with a question before falling asleep last night then woke up abruptly with some answers that just had to be tried.  Of course, I'm about to go back and get some of that missing sleep soon!

I used to look forward to "working" every Friday and Saturday night..... but that was back in my younger days..... and playing guitar for a few hours and getting paid really didn't seem like work at the time.

Now..... I run a business (electronic security) and if I have to work on a Friday night, or Saturday thru Sunday..... well, lets just say the rates are doubled from normal M-F 8-5 rates..... but if you need me,,,, I will go.... and it's door to door round trip billing.

I wasn't doubting that, it was just that when I logged in this morning you seemed to have replied to every post on every thread, so I thought I'd give you another one.

When you run your own business (I was a consultant/contract programmer for 20+ years), like when I had the T-Shirt shop, you work when the customers want (or are willing to pay like Herb's clients).

When you work for the man, you work when he wants.

No upside as I see it.

Except that it's better than not having any income.

That said, I've been learning some new things over the last few days and hope to get another online business started so that, between the three I will have, I hope to have enough income to not just survive, but to enjoy life AND GET MY DAMN GEAR BACK!  The even better part is that, when set up correctly, these businesses should be up 24/7 while I only need to spend a few hours each week on support and updating.  I'm too old to start over at a "typical" corporate job so, to get back all of the money and assets I lost, I need to have a better approach.

We'll see!  I'm certainly not going to give up trying.
