When you run your own business (I was a consultant/contract programmer for 20+ years), like when I had the T-Shirt shop, you work when the customers want (or are willing to pay like Herb's clients).
When you work for the man, you work when he wants.
No upside as I see it.
Except that it's better than not having any income.
That said, I've been learning some new things over the last few days and hope to get another online business started so that, between the three I will have, I hope to have enough income to not just survive, but to enjoy life AND GET MY DAMN GEAR BACK! The even better part is that, when set up correctly, these businesses should be up 24/7 while I only need to spend a few hours each week on support and updating. I'm too old to start over at a "typical" corporate job so, to get back all of the money and assets I lost, I need to have a better approach.
We'll see! I'm certainly not going to give up trying.
