Platinum keeps saying (via email) they are going to port their latest releases to Infinite Player, but I haven't seen any movement in months. Really don't want to have to buy BFD to get new and interesting material...

If you got something like Toontracks Ezplayer Pro you could just convert them yourself - that's what I do if I have any midi packs that are not formatted for the drum program I want to use.

Hi Dan,

Perhaps you're confusing us with another company??  We've never said we'd be porting our libraries to Infinity Player.

What's the problem with BFD3 or is it just the expense and you're happy with what you have?

And is this what you're referring to with Ifinite Player

I suspect you'd find BFD3 offered you a whole lot more control over those kits than you'd ever get with Infinite Player and you wouldn't get all the extra channels or even detail that you would with BFD3.
In fact I suspect BFD Eco would give you better access to the full features of those kits.

My bad...you're right. It was someone over at Sonic Reality. I'm not sure how I got that confused, but I blame age and lots of bad stuff in my youth.

As far as BFD3, I may have to look into it. I like AD2, but not as much as other kits I already have in Kontakt, SSD4 and, yes, Infinite Player. I know that Infinite Player is somewhat dated, but the kits I have for it are still great sounding and there is a lot of variety. It's easy to find a suitable kit (or mix of kits) for a project.

I'll admit, I'm a sucker for a good drum library, but I've resisted the lure of BFD for so long...

Dan

You make it sound like one of those Japanese endurance games Dan

You can always check out the demo although it's quite limited with articulations missing but
it still gives you a good idea of what it's capable of.

Dammit, I can't buy them all. It would be too much of an admission, lol.
