Learned of this from a Don't Crack promotional email:

They're just asking for a vote as best free VST in the annual KVR poll in return for the free download.  I haven't installed it yet, but the demo tracks on the web page make it look like it has some nice possibilities.

Have it...it's in the KVR Developers Competition...
And Acon makes nice Plugs...so it's a good feebie...

I think this is probably the best product in this year's KVR challenge, but just to clarify, there's no obligation to vote for it in order to get the download.  Anyone can download any of the contenders free of charge and then vote (or not) however they like.  No strings attached.  Check 'em out here:  http://www.kvraudio.com/kvr-developer-challenge/2014/

On a related note, all of Acon's stuff is on sale until the 15th at JRR -- 30% off normal price.  Some first-rate tools there, priced very reasonably.

Cheers,
Eddie

Here's the link for the 2014 DC so you can try out all the entries and vote on your favorite:

The Acorn submission does indeed look like a contender. There are quite a few interesting entries this year. Check out the Dynamic Frequency Limiter, which looks interesting and might be capable of the kind of spectral ducking I currently rely on MSpectralDynamics for. I intend to check it out.
