My wife had to live there for a month in 2010 when they were rehearsing for the show. She hated it, so it's not likely that I'll ever have to go.

If I could never leave this house I'd be happy, but when I have to, I usually prefer things like the San Diego zoo or the Da Vinci museum. Though an occasional musical can be nice.

My own idea of a vacation theses days would be a two weeks trip, all the way to Memphis, then Nashville, then down to New Orleans and then back through Texas and New Mexico and back home, up through Arizona. If I had to leave home, that's what I would go for.

On a trip that long, I'd find a way to divert to I-70 from Denver West. Yeah that means a whole lot of not much going through Kansas or Oklahoma. Of course, there's a whole lot of not much going through Texas.
I am admittedly biased, but imho, the 270 miles from Denver to Salt Lake is one of the best drives in the lower 48.
