Considering that fact that the forum
is purely "gratis" I can appreciate the low
priority status...

But it would be nice to have it fixed...LOL

It would be an awesome thing....IJS

You know,
1. between this that has been going on for months & months - even years now;
2. the broken and/or missing update links in their support section;
3. and the year long 'cone of silence' surrounding the whole X2 non-existent b-e updates & the 'we're not going to update or fix anything at all for you our paying customers - nor politely inform you of our plans or future releases but instead charge you even more for the X3 upgrade' debacle thing -

- one has to wonder just what the hell these people do all day.

And yet, according to their support section, there's about 6 different departments of which to contact for certain things.

Is it any wonder that so many of us bailed & jumped ship to Cubase and other DAWs.

They're working on an update for Rapture and Dimension Pro - the first since 2009!! - so that I can install them on my new Mac.

Current issue seems to be posts containing links.

The links you're referring to are being removed by the Akismet filter because they're technically spam as far it sees it. We can train Akismet for false positives. Our forums aren't intended to be an advertising space for other companies to promote their products though, so we're probably not going to find Cakewalk staff doing this routinely.

I know we're pretty lenient about this in the software forum because we don't really have anything against people sharing good deals with one another, but it's really spam when you break it down and apparently it's raised enough flags across the inter-webs for Akismet to remove it.

In any case, to explain what's been happening, Akismet picked up on the link in question as spam and auto-removed it.

Thanks Ryan,

So does that also mean that Forum Members can no longer upload their own Avatars in their profile page?

That is an unrelated issue. We did a bit of research but need a hand from the forum dev on how to fix it.
