At least IK have not taken pre-orders for Sample Tank 3.
 
Sonoma have just sent out an email to those who had pre-ordered (over six months ago!) asking for beta testers! As a sweetener that have offered a further $30 coupon off content so I just grabbed the Greg Keplinger Jazz Kit pack FOC.
 
Forum posts suggest that that they will refund if one asks, but I want the upgrade.
 
 

At least they are asking for beta testers and offered two free products which in the case of the full blown version costs more than the upgrade itself. Agreed though, this is a long time coming.

I don't think the're in danger of going bust as they have a strong iProduct background, and perhaps this upgrade was a little more complex then they thought when they started out on the development - Sonoma Wireworx I believe are different to IK Multimedia in as far as I know they were sort of iProduct first then purchased the Drumcore stuff, whereas IK started in proper computer stuff first, discovered iProduct, then seemed to loose interest in the stuff we use - for that reason I think I would give Sonoma a bit more leeway than IK.
Anyway best of luck, I'm sure you'll let us know when you do get something - I might think of upgrading myself then if its any good!

Yes....but will they have "Stunning 3D Icons"...that's what I want to know 

SampleTank - 10 years in the making
Groove Agent - 10 years trying to get a version that works properley (hopefully version 4 might!)
Drumcore - this must be getting on for 10 years since the initial launch.
 
I see a pattern emerging!
I do hope you get something soon Glyn - or you get your money back and give up (basically what I did with Version 3 of Groove Agent..............although of course, this was Stinkberg who when I complained just graciously deleted my account!!!!!!!
