Just wanted you guyz feeling about those versus big dogs like

PCM
East West Spaces
Tsar
X Verb
UAD (EMT 140 , Lex ect ..)

I have them on my install but i'm kinda snobing them , don't know why .... everytime i try them i'm like : mmm cool and then i go back to PCM !! lol i hear reverbs more than spaces ...

I haven't messed with them a ton. I like convolution reverb more than algo reverb because I tend to like the sound where it is like everything is being played in the same concert hall.

However they seem competent.

I don't have the NI ones, but I can say the UAD 224 absolutely rules on certain things like synth pads - it does this thing where it's not just like running through a verb, and nothing else I've heard does it. It can take a boring pad and make it sound glorious and like it's part of the pad vs. sounding like a pad through a reverb.

I'd be curious if the NI version can do this, and that's the first thing I'd try it out on.

I think these NI verbs are better than average -- they have that Lex flavor, and sound good with a lot of sources (I like the 24 on some drums, for example), but compared with top-of-the-line products like PCM or the UAD reverbs they don't quite measure up IMHO.  Worth investigating, though.

Cheers,
Eddie

Well Lexi's (which I don't have) are probably the best (based on some HW MXP1 that I had) but the RC24/48 have become my go to reverbs. As I recall the reviewer in SOS called them "Classy". I'd agree with that.

FWIW (not much), a blind test on Gearslutz showed most people favoring Valhalla Vintage Verb over Lexicon PCM and UAD 224 and a few others.

I do have the NI offerings by the way but they were part of a bundle and I haven't really dug in there much. I get along with BReverb quite well most of the time.
