Just an idea 'Ol Pal...
In your CD burning software, add each sound as a separate track.
In the burning options window, see if you can prescribe the length of the 'Pause' between tracks.
I usually use Nero to create my CDs, and it gives you the option to select the pause length individually after each track, or to speed the process up, you can select multiple tracks and apply the same pause to all of them.
For example, here I've selected nine tracks and set the pause value at 300 seconds:
