Yeah, I never watched a single episode. Now I have six seasons OnDemand to watch. We are on Season 1, episode 8. Ray Donovan comes back tonight and TWD starts soon. I feel like I'm in "high cotton".
A question... is The Bridge worth paying to watch season one? It is 19.95 for all of season 1. I balk at that, I can probably get it for free on G3gachair, (don't think I should spell it out). Anyway, if you have watched it, is The Bridge good?
Is Tyrant good?

If you don't watch TV, don't tell me, I don't care and it don't matter. I do.
I like FX, AMC, and History.  I like gritty shows, don't like trashy shows like Justified and Ray Donovan. I love TWD but my wife wont watch it. I don't like shows with too much gratuitous language (like the original Robocop movies) or gratuitous sex (like Banshee on Cinemax). Banshee would be a good show, IMO. I think Deadwood would be a good show, I actually like it except for it is just over the line for me. I liked Luther on BBC and Broadchurch. One of the American networks is making another version of Broadchurch with the same actor, the ex Dr. WHO guy.
I Absolutely hate, Maury, Springer, Judge (fillintheblank), Divorce Court, etc.

Sorry to ramble on like I do, my main question is the one about The Bridge and the one about Tyrant. The other stuff I added thinking maybe someone might suggest some other shows we might like.

The World Cup was good, I am surprised that I came to like it but I did and I may buy an Özil,Müller, or a Neuer jersey. But I again digress, sorry.

Tyrant just started (3-episodes broadcast?). It is decent so far but too early to tell whether it is great or not. I am not sure where they are headed, but it is filmed very well.

I tried an episode or two of the Bridge. It was okay. Will have to try again though. Too much going on right now. I am trying to keep up with Tour de France.

The Sopranos revolutioned TV watching in my eyes. Other great shows that have followed are "Breaking Bad" (AMC), "The Walking Dead" (AMC), "Treme" (HBO), "Vikings" (History channel). Another 1-season suggestion is "Fargo" (FX). All great stuff.  "Sons Of Anarchy" (FX) is good also. And "Halt and Catch Fire" (AMC) is new and interesting about the computer age.

Great goal kick by Germany in the Cup final. Made my 60-minutes of watching worthwhile.

Hi,

The only Soprano I ever enjoyed was Renata Tebaldi!

'Fargo' is superb. I was sceptical about a series as the movie is in my top 5, but it's excellent stuff.

Watched a couple of series of 'Breaking Bad' but got bored with it.

Just my opinion, but I thought The Bridge was quite involving.  The female lead is a somewhat f-ed up young woman but her persona is fascinating.  The overall story arc is pretty gripping.  I'm happily returning for season two.

As for Tyrant, even my wife, who normally doesn't care for much that didn't originate in the UK and involves costumes, is a huge fan so far.  I look forward to new episodes each week.  We're only three episodes in so there's no guarantee this thing will stay on course, but so far it definitely gets an hour of my time each week.
