Hello
I am a CUBASE and REASON user and i like very much the beauty of the VS-700 Console, i want to know if the console can control the faders, transport bar and other buttons in this two programs, because i don´t like much to SONAR PRODUCER
thanks

The console does offer some control over other programs but to be honest I am not sure how much. It might be a good idea to contact Cakewalk Technical support to find out.

The real benefit of the console is to control Sonar and maybe you should consider switching over to Sonar as your main program of use. I am confident once you research this and start using it you will change your mind and never go back. Then the console really comes into its own as it is really designed as a control surface for Sonar.

The VS-700C works in Mackie Control mode and thus will work with any DAW on Windows such as Cubase or Reason. It's literally the same as setting up a Mackie Control in those DAWs.

Yes, I have Reason and it works. Should be the same with Cubase because it runs the Mackie Control Unit (MCU) protocol.

The faders and knobs are used to control different settings within each synth rack (ie Malstrom), and they come preassigned, though I am sure they can be customized within reason (right click... assign).

Also, an important thing to note, there are soooo many buttons on this thing that I am unsure if some of them will work, as in the bottom left section with the copy/paste buttons, synth rack, etc.. though they are assignable too. It shoudl work but test it out for yourself.

Try it. It is a great piece of hardware, Im sure you'll enjoy it!

I have been totally unsuccessful thus far at setting this up.  Cubase seems to be fighting hard against the vs700.
