Audio Genetics Lab has released Jailcell Slammer, a collection of percussive hits created from recordings of the cell doors of Alcatraz Prison. In the historic California prison, cell doors were engineered to be able to be closed a full row at a time. Audio Genetics Lab captured field recordings of these doors slamming shut inside the actual prison acoustics of Alcatraz.
