There seems to be a limitation in Notion 3 as mentioned in SOS review :

"Notion 3 now supports an unlimited number of staves, and staves can display up to four voices,"

A full guitar chord would have 6 voices already.. I wonder if this is improved in version 5 ?

I downloaded it. I like the upgraded GUI. The main feature I'm running through the wringer is the video capabilities. I have a few clients that love to put together original classical type music and use it as background for DVD production. I haven't had a chance to really properly check it out but it looks really good right now. Other than that feature there is not much different. Presonus plugins are included in the mixer. Horrible gui but great sounds. I'll try to get back to you when I have some proper time with it.

I did a test on my Notion 3 by drawing 6 random notes, and it seems fine.. so I'm not sure what it means by that.

It means 4 separate voices that can be dealt with as groups i.e. soprano, alto...   Not how many notes you can put on a staff.

According to the Notion Forum members, the sustain pedal info is recorded. It is still NOT displayed in the Score View. You have to manually put in all the pedal notations in the score. If I remember correctly, they left it out so that the pianist can do his own pedaling without being commited to how whoever wrote the piano part first performed it. Seems a little lame and it is somewhat of a big deal but I have a friend who is a classical pianist and he says he very rarely pays attention to the pedal markings anyway. He's kinda glad they're not there anyway.
