Happy Birthday, I know a little about what you mean .... my Birthday hasn't been the same since 1980 ... John was a hero to many...
Imagine ... Nothing to live or die for

That was quite a shock too. I was 8, but I still remember it vividly. (Just Like) Starting Over was my favorite song at the time.

Being so young, my musical tastes obviously reflected my parents' record collection, and they had lots of Elvis records. His music really got through to me.

Lennon was inactive for the last half of the 70s, and, though my mother loved The Beatles, we didn't have much beside a couple of singles. Furthermore, my parents weren't too familiar with anything beyond Rubber Soul. But I had a notion that he was one of the greats, and I remember playing that song over and over again.

Lennon eventually became my biggest influence, and I turned my mother onto Sgt. Pepper and Abbey Road and all that stuff, which was awesome in a way.

But Elvis was there from the start. It's something very intuitive. Back then, when they'd ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was Elvis.

It's nothing fancy actually, but it just agrees with my system so well.

Half a skinless chicken breast, the juice of one orange, a bit of lemon, lemon pepper, a few cherry tomatoes, a couple of slices of green pepper and mushrooms. Oven baked.

Steamed Bok Choy, brocoli and green beans. That part varies depending on what's available, but, it's always plenty of greens.

One diced potato or sweet potato, oven baked and served with a bit of mayo.

And to spoil that healthy meal, one can of Throwback Pepsi. :P Because I'm just a man, and the whole point of eating well and training is to be able to indulge.

I swear to you, every night, I'm just as excited to sit with that exact same meal in front of the screen and watch a Deep Space Nine episode. Heck, last week, my wife worked 6 days and though I'd rather spend time with her, I was glad that I got to eat my meal for 6 straight nights.

Happy Bday Rain.  I am sorry I was late too.  Sounds like you had a fine relaxed day.
