They are selling ST2 expansion packs for $10 with a free upgrade to ST3 versions when it comes out.

Thought so. But since this is from another company and not IK, I thought some would give some feedback.

In the day, they were all the rage.
 
For me Kontakt libraries have far surpassed them.
 
If you're not on the Kontakt bandwagon (pun in 10 did) then these are pretty good libraries. And, they are supposed to be carried over into ST3.
 

Thank you bapu. I was just wondering what the quality was. Not on the Kontakt wagon! For what I do, Dim Pro pretty much had me covered.

But I jumped on the IK Total something bundle last year for a very good price. Would I bought ST by itself? Nope. But it came with the bundle. I mean the whole shebang. I wanted the T-racks and Amp3 stuff. ST came along with it.

So my thinking is if I can get some decent sounds at a good price, I'll pick it up while I have the chance.

All ikmedia hate aside, the expansion packs are a good valie at $10. Libraries available for Kontakt an Exs24 are better but at $10 it is a bargain. I think a more fair comparison would be to expansion packsnfor dim pro since they are closer in age. I find Dimension sounds are a little fuller but the sampletank sounds sit better in the mix intially. I have about 4 and they have served me well.

Thanks dub. I think I'm going to get a few. The Electronic stuff has me interested. Out of all my drum sounds, I lack in this department.
