If money were no object, I would buy one of these from Anthro.  I've seen a few of their medical offerings, and I'd love to have one of their creative solutions... customize to your heart's content.

There ya go!  Actually, a friend of mine found something similar at a garage sale.  Well, it's not designed to be a desk, but it would work.

My youngest son (the builder) suggested  putting 4 drawer 'runners' vertically and run the desk top up and down on them. 

Then it dawned on me that my dad's a pro welder and part inventor.  I bet he'd enjoy the challenge...I'll ask him. 

Adjustable height desk are so much costly. from my opinion make your desk manually, if you have proper tool, kit & other necessary things.
