Adults who watch TV three hours or more a day may double their risk of premature death from any cause.

Shirley it reduces your chance of being killed by a bus...

I truly believe that if everyone got rid of their TV's the world would be a better place.

But how would you know?   Hmmm?

If it were true, I'd already be dead.
I wonder how they determine "premature"?
When the bus comes, it's time to go.

I rode a Greyhound bus for 48 hours more than a dozen times.

After three hours, death doesn't seem quite so premature anymore.

Explain my in-laws.

They are 86 and they watch about 6-8 hours of TV a day.

Both are literally healthy as can be.

I'm at a loss as to how people could actually find 3 hours of TV they wanted to watch. They must be gorging on infomercials, surely.

I'm currently watching a TOTP from 1979. Utterly bizarre. Then I'll be watching some stuff from Glastonbury for a couple of hours. No commercials.

It just means they'll outlive us all by 35 years. Had they not watched so much TV they could have outlived us all by 36 years...
