Good stuff to know - thanks ! I still haven't had a chance to mess with it yet, but knowing these tips in advance will help for sure.  

Using a looper live is a learned skill. One that I'm no good at, as I had to discover.
 
I often play with a guitarist who's quite adept at using loopers, having been doing so for more than 30 years. I thought it would be fun to use one as well on keyboards, so I picked up a Roland unit. But I ended up selling it after realizing it's a lot harder than it looks. And getting two loopers in sync is especially difficult.
 
So instead, my role in our duo is singing all the BGVs, using a TC Helicon VoiceLive Touch. Which also has a built-in looper, but I haven't ever used it. 
 

I can imagine how it can be like trying to chew gum and walk. My plan starts simple - use on acoustic instrumental.. only, use with a few phrases, click off, and then come back to it for x amount of bars...end of song. And only when I have it nailed 10 consecutive times at home before ever presenting it to  someone else. We'll see.

I've got my LR Baggs installed to my nylon acoustic guitar recently and got a feedback when I'm near the amp/speaker. I DIY a simple cover and the feedback is gone.

I used to have one around - need to dig through my stuff or get a new one... thanks ! I played at home for years with no amp at all (stupid!), so that's been under my radar. I can't say enough good about my Fishman Loudbox amp - what a tonal genius they are. I am running my cord through the Fishman Aura 16, and last night got hooked on image # 13 = which is a Thomsley D, recorded with a near DPA 4011 mic (not sure what a DPA is). Wow, so that image combined with the amp - very nice !! My guitar is an Alverez. But feedback I should prepare for...
