Bumping this one because...

This plug has solved decades of noise problems for me. Regarding being able to set up a compressor, eq the output and put a credible gate after it before the fuzz box. All in one unit. Guitar on the front end.

This thing rocks. Can retire my former love Nomad Liquid Gate because the Evantide has half as many knobs and is twice better.

Saturation is generic and nothing to die for. The delay is meh in the face of Timeless, Sigmund, Bob Papen, but useful.

The Micro Pitch Shift is a very clean, transparent depth tool. Think of a chorus without the time mod.

Some warrior here recently posted about the five new Plug and Mix stomps. These were a letdown to me, but Plug and Mix still has the Facebook like offer for a free plug.

Point of this, and check it out...

Evantide Ultra Channel into the likes of P&M's British Tone. Santana PRS smooth out here even with a bastardized yard sale Peavey Raptor.  Allah only knows what you could do with a real guitar. Evantide into Head Case, just beginning to get the thrill.

Free route to gold otherwise. Evantide and P&M. Links here. Never thought I'd be hawking an Ilok thing, but it is that good.

Hey guys - I feel a bit slow and could use your help. This is my first attempt in using iLok software. I downloaded and registered my iLok manager software, I have also downloaded and activated my free Eventide Ultrachannel plugin (at least iLok software says it is activated on my laptop). But, I can't find this product anywhere in Sonar X3 or even on my Windows 8 system. Have I missed a step somewhere? Well, I WAS slow - missed one step! Working fine now. Thanks for your help anyway. Tom

I take it you downloaded the plugin from the link in the email you got? That's what I did.

When it installed, at first it didn't show up, so I reinstalled and noticed they installed in c:\program files\common files\steinberg\vst or something like that. I have no vst's in that path. I put them in a different place where my other plugs are. Maybe this happened for you too.

Thanks Jimbo! That did help me resolve the issue. I was looking for my VSTs to make sure I had not installed it elsewhere and realized I had done all the installs except .... the VST! OUCH! It was a PICNIC issue - Problem In Chair, Not In Code. LOL!

"PICNIC"... That's a new one for me. At least the term, but not the actual condition.

I downloaded and just installed - tried it on some acoustic guitar - I have to say I loved it for the mico pitch effect plus some eq etc - the delay's not bad either although I think I would use one of my others if I was doing this for real sort of thing.
But absolutely excellent for a freebie - i can see this getting some use

My prefered ones for that are "Layer 8 issue" and "ID 10T error."

Layer 8 referring to the OSI network model which goes from Layer 1 (physical hardware) to Layer 7 (application). So I figure the next layer is users :D.

ID 10T is pretty obvious :D.

Don't sweat the License Manager, Mesh. With all due respect to those that object to Ilok license manager, I have it installed on my 32 bit Vista mobile system and my 64 bit main system. It's basically a TSR(is that still a valid term?) and sits quietly in the background talking and reporting to the iLok home servers.

Fixed.

Installed and activated with ease.

Tried on an acoustic guitar track. Pretty nice.

While I don't think I'd install PACE software just to get this plugin, for those of us who already rock the 'Lok, it's a good freebie.  I've tried it with good results in a parallel fx bus for vox to add a little spice.  But I was most impressed with what it did for lead guitar ... the delay and microshift really wowed me.  Yes, I could probably duplicate the effect with other tools, but not as quickly and easily.  Thanks, Eventide!

Cheers,
Eddie
