Just out of curiosity for those with much more money then me, is this the typical quality of FX plugins in the 250$ range? Not including things like SD 2 or Melodyne and virtual instruments, just FX type plugins.

I would venture to say it probably is.
What I question is whether the market can sustain plug-ins like this priced at $250.
Make on mistake, this is a very nice program. And it may be worth $250.
But it remains that many of us don't have that to throw at a plug-in.
I've just had a look at the pricing on Cakewalk's PC modules. They're mostly doable.
In light of that, and what UltraChannel covers, I might go $100, maybe $125 on a push. But I couldn't do $259.
For every person that could justify $259, there are probably ten or more that could justify $100.
I want to see these developers continue. I don't want to see them price themselves out of a sustainable income.
I value their time and effort, and we all need to eat.

Alright Fellas , I still got a couple of days left to make up my mind and time is running short
for those of you that have had this plug for a while ….is this a "got to have plug" ? ….
admittedly , I'm still a little hesitant to do I Lock……

I think Eventide did a smart thing offering a decent plug-in for free for those that have been reluctant to check out the new dongle-less iLok. It was painless and the plug-in is not that bad. Make a restore point, if the software proves unsatisfactory, remove it all.

I decided to put it on a computer I can just wipe if necessary. My opinion (and I am very much anti-ilok) is it's a quality plugin.  I like it more than The channel plugin in the bluetubes bundle but less than VC-64.  Being tha tVC-64 is no longer offered that gives this a big boost. I could probably get similar functionality with right combo of pro channel plugs .  I think for those who don't have pro channel or a go to preset fx chain, this is a nice one-stop solution for basic channel needs.  I think I am so spoiled by having the quadcurve eq in pro channel that another channel type eq would be pointless for me.  I am curious to try this in my video editor since the plugins in that are very weak.

Yes. Get it, Kenny.
I was just coming in here to bump this because time is indeed running out.
I love what this plug-in has brought to the table.
I have used it for a few weeks, and it brings a little sweetness to every track I use it on.
Trust me, you're gonna like it.
As stated earlier, the iLok License Manager is no more intrusive than the schemes used by IK and others.
It's basically set and forget.
Go for it.

OK kids, I'm going to bump this one last time.
Personally, I think they were crazy to offer this for free, but they did. After tomorrow, it's regular price($259).
If it doesn't live up to expectations, you aren't out anything . If it does ( and I believe it will), you're welcome.
