I've never understood the complaining about Waves, mainly because I have zero complaints about them. In my personal experience anyway. I bought the Gold bundle heavily discounted ages ago and I've gotten so much use out of them, there are some top quality plugins in there. Supertaps and H-Delay are two of the best delay plugins I own - I especially don't know what I'd do without Supertaps. The vintage compressors are excellent (especially on drums and bass) and the vintage EQ's (VEQ) are some of the nicest sounding EQ's for boosts. Aside from that there are some great everyday EQ's in there (including the Renaissance EQ), the Renaissance compressor which is excellent, and Renaissance Ax which is fantastic on guitar. Tons of other stuff in there as well, like some great modulation plugs, stereo wideners, analysis tools etc. Like Komplete, I consider I got a long of bang for the buck and I use this stuff every day. I also have Element which is a great sounding analog style synth by Waves, and the Aphex Aural Exciter which I got on sale and which is very useful for adding a bit of sparkle and sheen to old dull sounding recordings (when used sparingly).
