I Have been forced to use a Mac and Logic 9 the last few weeks. Its a tiresome job...
BUT, one feature that Logic has, that I would love to see in Sonar 9 is the ability to take an audio track, right click on it and select "convert to sample track" and Logic splits up the audio either by transient markers or regions ( you decide ) and map the chopped audio to a sampler track, load the samples and hey presto !
See this video to see what I am talking about :
samples in Logic How fast is that !
Too bad the Logic sampler is a dog
I work a lot with Kontakt in Sonar, and I usually chop stuff up in Recycle or other audio editing programs before loading the samples in Kontakt...takes quite a lot of time compared to method described above...
So, I don't know if Cakewalk can cooperate with NI to sort out a similar concept, or if Cakewalk will have to drill up their own sampler ?
anywais, I love Sonar, and I would love to have this feature in Sonar 9
All the best
