I have fun taking such tests and even went back to study (and retake the test) especially the "water...paper clip" question and got it right this time.

Would you like to share the answer to this one Ol'Pal?

Or anyone else for that matter who knows why the answer is what it is?

I can't make head or tail of it

Obviously the answer is being censored and must be "S-P-I-C-E" or you can see what I already posted here:

RE: water, paper clip, etc.

I chose "cell phone", which must have been correct since I scored 100%, but frankly it was a guess. My rationale was the listed items are things you'd find on top of a desk. Cell phones would commonly be placed atop a desk, whereas pushpins and magnets would normally be stored in a drawer. (My cell phone is usually atop the desk rather than in my pocket, so that I can see it ring when I have headphones on.)

Good thing they didn't say "coffee" instead of "water" or else it would have really been confusing!

Obviously this question and others have strong cultural bias.

In my village we commonly put the cell phone in the desk where the signal is weaker and the NSA cannot track.
And the push pins go on top of the desk where intruders will impale themselves when dropping from the false ceiling.

Sheesh

Yup...cell phone it is.  But as I do not have any water, paperclips or cellphone on my desk (I do have a computer) and almost never use them in my daily business I was stymied.  I do have executive office furniture.  Ratty, old, dinged up, threadbare executive office furniture.  And I love magnets.  And I'd like for the person who came up with that question to sit on a pushpin.  So I've got that going for me.
