I must confess I spend a heck a lot of time rummaging around here.  I always find something weird, wonderful or amazing.

I figured some folks on here might enjoy it too.

A "sound" resource!  I get it!

(BTW - Shouldn't a British library be quiet though? )

Pity you can't download them.

This library is seriously flawed.

I looked through the section on local accents, found a recording from where I live (actually about a mile from where I grew up) and the speaker doesn't have an accent at all!!

I think I recognized the word "pigs" in there a few times...

It's a recording made in 1952, British regional accents are diluting all the time, without stuff like this you wouldn't be able to recognize what you sounded like 3 weeks ago.

My accent on FSF has changed dramatically since it started, I can't recognize what I typed at the beginning of it anymore.

This is my native accent, I still recognize it although it's got more Londinified since then.

You all sound the same in the Coffee House though...
(The dolts upstairs are a totally different story however!

Oh yeah..  I apologise for going upstairs and starting and argument about limiters...  (oar dew eye?)

Maybe we could put some limiters on a few of the members up there?
